The Rise of Reform
Sharing insight, building excellence - Our own survey of more than 800 Reform UK councillors provided insight into exactly where they stand on planning, development and engagement.
Our divisional teams have presented the findings, via CPDs, to more than 30 clients and partners to help inform their strategies to secure positive planning outcomes.
Presence at party conference - Our team attended the Reform party conference this month, building relationships with senior figures in each of the Reform-led authorities across the country – read our reflections of conference here.
Policy influencing - We are now influencing the Party’s central policy direction as they begin to develop their manifesto platform for the next General Election and ahead of critical local elections in May 2026, which will see 80+ LPAs and four new Mayoralties contested.
Achieving results-DevComms’ early engagement with Reform Members, whether at Cabinet level in Reform-led LPAs and County Councils, or on a local basis for project site’s, has already garnered results for our clients. For example, our work ensured a recommendation for refusal at Committee was overturned after we harnessed the support of the site’s Reform County Councillor and had direct engagement of Committee Members. We also drafted an easy-to-read Committee briefing document, complemented by a punchy Committee speech and a well-crafted letter of support from the Reform Councillor.
