The challenge
Taylor Wimpey led a consortium including L&Q Estates, Richborough Estates and Homes England to deliver the South West Rugby Strategic Urban Extension. DevComms was appointed in 2023 to lead all engagement activities for this c. 5,000-home scheme with substantial supporting infrastructure.
Our approach
DevComms assisted Homes England on behalf of Taylor Wimpey to run a large-scale consultation process culminating in a Community Design Event in July 2023. The team prepared all publicity materials, attended all events and engaged with leading and local politicians, residents and community groups.
The outcome
The large-scale consultation process was successfully delivered, including the Community Design Event which brought together a wide range of stakeholders to shape the masterplan for the strategic urban extension.
