The challenge
Dudsbury Homes proposed a major development of 1,700 new homes alongside circa £70m of infrastructure delivery in Alderholt, Dorset. The scheme required extensive political and stakeholder engagement at Westminster, local authority and parish level across the county.
Our approach
DevComms undertook numerous meetings with the MP, Alderholt Parish Council and leading members of Dorset Council. Public engagement included a village-wide brochure mailing, an interactive project website and a public exhibition.
The outcome
The comprehensive engagement programme reached the entire village through the brochure mailing and established direct dialogue with all key political stakeholders from Parliament to parish.
