362 Build-to-Rent homes in a converted office landmark
The challenge
The iconic former Barclays House, a brutalist eight-storey office building in Poole that had been the bank's head office from 1970 until closing during the pandemic, was proposed for conversion into 362 Build-to-Rent homes. The building's prominence and the BTR model required senior political support.
Our approach
DevComms undertook strategic personal engagement with BCP Cabinet Members and local ward members on behalf of Elmsbrook Capital.
The outcome
Feedback from strategic political engagement was positive and following the application submission over a hundred letters of support were submitted on the planning file.
