Strategic Masterplan for c. 1,000 new homes
The challenge
Vistry proposed circa 1,000 new homes at North Weald Bassett, Epping Forest. The scheme required over seven years of sustained engagement to establish positive relationships with political leadership, strategic officers and community stakeholders at local level.
Our approach
DevComms undertook consultation on the Strategic Masterplan on behalf of the District Council, including four in-person events in June 2023 with detailed information displays, a large vinyl floorplan, site tours and meetings with key local stakeholders including the Parish Council and a local school. 176 people attended.
The outcome
Epping Forest District Council formally endorsed the Strategic Masterplan for the site in March 2024, providing the framework to guide delivery through subsequent planning applications.
