Orbit Homes needed to promote land at North Benfleet Hall Farm for a sustainable extension of 650 homes through the Bowers Gifford and North Benfleet Neighbourhood Plan process, requiring long-term trust-building with community stakeholders.
Our approach
DevComms worked on a long-term basis with Orbit, building trusted relationships with key local stakeholders, particularly Bowers Gifford and North Benfleet Parish Council and the Deputy Leader of Basildon Council.
The outcome
The effective engagement strategy led to the land being allocated for development in the Bowers Gifford and North Benfleet Neighbourhood Plan, securing the site through a community-led process.
