The challenge
Churchill Retirement Living proposed a multi-generational project at the former gas works in Christchurch Town Centre, one of the main brownfield sites and a strategically important site for BCP Council.
Our approach
DevComms' South West team undertook comprehensive political and public consultation across two phases, resulting in significant alterations to the submitted application in response to matters raised by Councillors, residents and the wider community.
The outcome
Political and community engagement resulted in positive changes to the scheme. Christchurch town council raised no objection to the planning application.
