The challenge
A client needed support for a significant Build to Rent (BTR) scheme delivering c.120 apartments, a 405-space town centre car park and retail / commercial floorspace in a prominent central urban location in Kent. The BTR concept needed careful explanation to political and public stakeholders unfamiliar with the model.
Our approach
DevComms devised an engagement exercise involving detailed political engagement across all levels, as well as outreach to the surrounding dense residential and business community, local interest groups and targeted support generation across relevant demographic groups.
The outcome
The comprehensive engagement strategy was designed to build understanding of the BTR model among stakeholders and generate broad-based support for the scheme in a key town centre location.
