The challenge
Caddick Land proposed the J22 M1 Employment Hub for up to 700,000 sq ft of industrial and logistics space in Hinckley and Bosworth. The site was a draft allocation in the emerging Local Plan with a planning application submitted in September 2025, requiring political support alongside the plan-making process.
Our approach
DevComms provided targeted political engagement and public consultation through a community mailing and full online public consultation. We also supported the project team with political and stakeholder engagement in the period leading up to submission, including preparation of briefing materials.
The outcome
The engagement programme successfully built political and community awareness ahead of the planning application submission, complementing the draft Local Plan allocation.
